Rivalsar Lake

At an
altitude of 1360 m, it is also known as the lake of floating islands. Another
name of this lake is Padmachan. It is 22 kms from the Mandi headquarter. It
is an important lake for Buddhists, Hindus & Sikhs. Cheshchu fair is
organised in Rivalsar

Parasher lake
|
It is named after Rishi Parasher who was the son
of Shakti Muni. It is at an altitude of 2743 m (approximately 3000 m ) above
sea level

Pandoh Lake ( man-made lake )

It is constructed over river Beas. It is 14 kms
in length.

Satluj – It enters Mandi district in Firnu
village. The river separates Mandi from Solan and Shimla
· Beas – It enters Mandi district in Largi. Sainj
& Tirthan rivulets merge with Beas here. The various tributaries/rivulets
of Beas river include Ulah, Suketi,Son, Bhakar,Janjheli, Ranodi, Luni, Reena
Important Dam in Mandi includes
the Pandoh Dam having a height of 76m. It was completed in 1977. The nearest
National Highway is NH-21.
